Co-operation - How Can We Make It Work?

We are constantly faced with the challenge of having our representatives acting in our best interest.......
When the common good is less clear, it is no wonder that individuals feel short changed. While there is no clear solution in coming up with the right person to represent one's interest, the process of going about, if done correctly, may inject an element of competition and that is healthy. Instead of relying on experts to guide the process, it is felt that individuals partake as well. They should be given the information as well as the opportunity to discuss the issues on hand. While this is all well and good - from an economic perspective - one's input hardly matters so why bother?
